As wretched as this warm weather is for Mother Earth, I’ve been feeling wonderful and my skin has been loving the humidity. Furthermore, I’ve been eating an 85% dairy-free diet and reaping the benefits of a lighter mindset and lifestyle. As a total Kapha in Ayurveda, dairy aggravates feelings of depression, darkness, and heaviness, so eliminating it from my diet has been paramount!
Also, I’ve been meditating five minutes every morning (as per the lovely Noel’s instructions) and practicing A Course in Miracles with my friend Claire. We go see Marianne Williamson most Tuesday’s at Marble Collegiate, and engage even deeper in processes of meditation and letting go.
As for exercise, I just plain old need to do it more. I’ve been stretching, lifting Kyle’s ten pound weights, doing a few planks, and yoga. But nothing nearly as intense as I should be doing. Even if I could commit to cardio twice a week, that would be, to quote my mother, “coo-de-la!”
Finally, I’ve been committed to Tata Harper products and my random constellation of zits has been slowly clearing up. The key is not trying too many things at once – Michaela generously purchased me a set of Glossier products for my birthday, but I’ve discovered I have to use them in moderation. The contents of my quotidien beauty routine include:

- Hannes Dottír Mineral Mist: Crystalline waters from Iceland, Silica, Spearmint Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract
- Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser: Sugars, Broccoli Extract, Fruit Enzymes
- Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturizer: ZincPCA, Arnica, Borage Leaf Extract, Biocompatible Hyaluronic Acid
